Costco's 1-Hour Photo Can Transfer Your Old Home Movies to DVD

On a digital format, you can easily view your old home movies again. Watch them on a TV or computer,
without having to set up the old projector.

 We clean and splice your movie film. Then our process digitally captures your film footage and transfers it directly to DVD. Your digitized film footage includes:
  • Enlarged gate so that you can see the entire frame of the film 
  • Minimized film flicker 
  • Removal of film leader and unexposed footage
  • Brightened colours and reduced scratches, dirt and dust on the film surface

  • 8mm to DVD (1600 feet max per DVD)

  1. Your film cleaned (reduced scratches, dirt and dust on film surface), spliced and returned on new 400ft. reels, if appropriate.
    Your original empty reels will be returned when indicated on the order form.

23.99 (inc VAT) for the first 150 feet, 9p per foot per additional foot.

  • Extreme Restoration- The film reels we receive are often decades old and have already begun to degrade. With the exception of slight colour brightening, the quality of the footage on DVD cannot be improved from the quality of your source film footage.
  • Raw Video Footage on DVD - We cannot deliver just the raw footage on DVD for you to edit using video software. Our DVDs are authored to play on a DVD player and to be enjoyed like a Hollywood movie.
  • Customized DVD Projects - Because of Costco's automated process, we can't make custom projects, such as adding captions and adding custom music.

Please bring your media to the Watford, Thurrock, Chingford, Reading, Milton Keynes or Croydon Photo Lab where we will assist you to complete the order form. Payment is made upon collection. Note that this service currently can only be ordered at the selected warehouses as mentioned above. As soon as other warehouses offer this service as well, we will update this section of the website.
